Doula Training
Do you have the heart and passion to work with laboring women and/or new families? If so, you may want to consider becoming a certified Birth or Postpartum Doula. We offer the DONA International approved workshops that are required for certification. Attending an in-person workshop surrounds you with others who have the same passion, gives you hands on skills, and allows you to network with other birth professionals.
In the Birth Doula workshop you will learn the requirements for certification, prenatal support, communication skills, how to offer support in labor, comfort measures, challenges in childbirth, newborn and breastfeeding, postpartum support, marketing your business, and so much more. You will receive an extensive manual at class that will help you as you start your journey to becoming a birth doula. There are no prerequisites to attend this workshop. In the Postpartum Doula Workshop you will learn the requirements for certification, prenatal contact, effective listening, integrating the birth experience, grief and loss, postpartum doula basics, referrals, multiples, breastfeeding and infant feeding, postpartum mood disorder, and so much more. You learn how to nurture the family so they can have the best start possible. You will receive an extensive manual at class as you start your journey to becoming a postpartum doula.
